Turning The Tables – Sir John Monash.
This story is a 7 minute text based film designed to inform the audience of the achievements of the Australian Infantry and the role of Sir John Monash’s accomplishment of “holding and pushing back” the German front line on the Somme in August 1918.With no audio accompaniment a text-based approach was used to tell the story, this placed a greater reliance on text design and readability to convey essential facts.
One of the key features of the WW1 gallery is the battle of Villers-Bretonneux and Hamel. As a homage to the real life dioramas Luscious was asked to produce 2 digital dioramas, using static poses to depict the gruesome battles that occurred from that time. There was a huge amount of research that went into developing accurate representations of the scenes from the terrain, infantry, weather and the inclusion of a specific Victoria Cross action.
